Michelle Adams is a founding partner of Adams, Morris & Sessing. Her law practice primarily focuses on the following practice areas: Short Sale Negotiation, Debt Settlement and Lien Negotiation, Past Due Tax Filing and Offers in Compromise, Loss Mitigation and Foreclosure Defense. Ms. Adams has personally closed over 1,100 short sales and helped many homeowners maintain their dream of homeownership.

Ms. Adams also provides direct assistance to pro bono clients through the Maryland Foreclosure Prevention Pro Bono Project and Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Services. She was recognized for her exceptional work on the foreclosure pro bono project in the September 2009 Maryland Law Journal.

Prior to forming a partnership with 2 other attorneys, Ms. Adams was the Managing Attorney at the Law Offices of Jill Michaels for just over 4 years. She was also an Attorney with Arnold and Porter for 8 years where she was part of the product liability litigation practice concentrating on class actions and complex litigation.

Ms. Adams graduated Cum Laude from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology.  She then attended American University, Washington College of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1996. Ms. Adams is was admitted into practice in Maryland, District of Columbia and the Federal Courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Ms. Adams was born and raised in the state of Massachusetts (go Red Sox!) and currently resides in Darnestown, Maryland with her husband, son and golden doodle.

Elizabeth L. Morris is a founding partner of Adams, Morris & Sessing. She attended the University of Baltimore School of Law where she graduated cum laude. Following graduation, Ms. Morris served as a law clerk for the Honorable G. Edward Dwyer in the Circuit Court for Frederick County. Ms. Morris is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland, the United States District Court for Maryland, and the United States Tax Court.

Ms. Morris focuses on the following practice areas: General Civil Litigation, Family Law, Adoption, Guardianship, Short Sale Negotiation, Loss Mitigation, Lien Negotiation, Foreclosure Defense. Ms. Morris is also regularly appointed by the Circuit Court for Frederick County to represent children in contested custody cases.

Timothy Sessing is a founding partner of Adams, Morris & Sessing. He attended the George Washington School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1996; Admitted into practice in Maryland, District of Columbia and the Federal Courts of Maryland and District of Columbia; Member of the Bar Association of Montgomery County and Frederick County Maryland. Mr. Sessing was born and raised in the state of Minnesota and currently resides in Montgomery County.

Mr. Sessing primarily focuses on the following practice areas: Bankruptcy, Creditor Issues, Probate, Estate Planning, Wills, Short Sale Negotiations, Loss Mitigation and Business Law.

Founding Partner

Shikha Parikh is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia.  She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  Mrs. Parikh received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law. ​

​During law school, Mrs. Parikh clerked for the Honorable Louise G. Scrivener of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland, and she also interned for the Honorable Clayton Greene, Jr. of the Court of Appeals of Maryland.  Mrs. Parikh held the position of Editor-in-Chief of “The Authority,” a publication covering developments in housing law.

​ After graduating from law school, Mrs. Parikh clerked for the Honorable Marjorie L. Clagett of the Circuit Court for Calvert County, Maryland.  She subsequently worked in general practice, and opened her own firm with the goal of assisting homeowners in foreclosure.  She has significant experience in foreclosure prevention, and is an active volunteer with the Maryland Foreclosure Prevention Pro Bono Project.

Although her specialty is foreclosure prevention, Mrs. Parikh is also accomplished in the following areas of law:  real estate litigation, other civil litigation, business transactions, bankruptcy, and immigration.  Mrs. Parikh is a seasoned litigator, yet also possesses the unique skills to negotiate settlements.

​Mrs. Parikh also teaches civil rights courses at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and has been a speaker at the Maryland Solo and Small Firm Conference.

Yesle Yi is an associate attorney with Adams, Morris & Sessing licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and pending licensing in District of Columbia. She graduated cum laude from University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies with a concentration in Latin as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Mrs. Yi attended University of Tennessee College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate.

During law school, Mrs. Yi clerked with Legal Aid of East Tennessee as well as the University of Tennessee Legal Clinic and the Immigration Clinic. After law school, she moved to the DMV area with her family and worked at a nonprofit organization for a year before coming to our firm. The majority of her work is focused on short sale negotiation, loss mitigation, lien negotiation, and immigration. She was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Alabama, Kentucky, and Tennessee before settling in the Washington metro area. She is bilingual in Korean and English, loves to try new things, and lives with her husband in Laurel, Maryland.
